Children’s Ministries

Children at Bracken serve alongside all other generations, to support our Church’s mission:  “To Love, Grow, and Serve.”  Here at Bracken, we value children (in Worship, in ministry, and in community outreach) for they are the joy of today and of tomorrow.  Will your family join us in serving others in Jesus’ name?

Opportunities at Bracken:

Children’s Choir

Children’s Choir Opportunities!!! Our Children’s Choir is for all children, age 4 through 5th grade, who love to sing unto the Lord. In the fall we sing together and prepare for our   annual children’s Christmas pageant. In the spring we often will switch to hand bells. Each Spring the children have the opportunity to lead the music portion of worship.

Children’s Choir meets September-May. For more information contact

Children and Church

We value intergenerational worship here at Bracken UMC, meaning, we love having all ages of the family worship together.  At each  of our worship services the children have a time of teaching (Children’s Time), as part of our worship experience. In addition, when you visit Bracken UMC, look for our “Worship Bags” and “Children’s Worship/Offering Card” to use and enjoy during  the service.  Nursery is also available for our littles- but we do not mind the wiggle!

Mid-Week Ministry (W.O.W.)

Our Mid-Week Ministry meets on Wednesdays (September-May)  from 6:00pm – 7:30pm and begins with a home-cooked dinner.  All children, ages Kindergarten  through 5th grade, are welcome to attend this mid-week ministry full of Bible stories, games, drama, crafts, music, food & fellowship.  For more information, contact Nicole, our Children’s Ministries Director, at
